If worn as advised by your dentist, Flash Aligner is as effective as a traditional orthodontic retainer in most of the cases.

They are made of a hypoallergenic plastic material exclusively for orthodontic use.

  • Is it possible to chew gum while wearing the aligners?

It is better not to; as with any other food, aligners must be removed in this case.                          

 

  • Does smoking have any effect on the aligner?

Yes, it does. Smoke stains the aligners and alters their transparency. It is therefore suggested to take them off before smoking, so to avoid deteriorating them before the course of treatment has ended.
